Scope and Content Aerial view of Cadboll estate, Highland Cadboll's key buildings were added by different owners: the castle in the 16th-century, probably by the Bishop of Ross's factor; the house, by Aeneas Macleod in about 1680; and the walled garden, probably in the late 18th century, by the Macleod heirs. Later additions give the 17th-century house in the centre of the picture a T-shaped plan. Behind, to the east, is the walled garden. The ruins in front of the house are the castle. To the extreme right is a dovecot of about 1700. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
