Scope and Content Former Kentallen Station (Highland council area) This station was opened in 1903 by the Caledonian Railway as part of a branch from the Callander and Oban Railway at Connel. The stations on the line were in an English Arts and Crafts style. This view shows the road frontage of the station, The agent's house was in the upper part of the two-storey section. By 1976 the single-storey wing was a tea-room. The railway closed in 1966. This building has, since 1976, been extended in a sympathetic style. Kentallen had its own steamer pier, which still survives. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
