Scope and Content Cross-slab known as St Demhan's Cross at Creich, Sutherland, Highland This cross-slab is known as St Demhan's cross after St Devenic, to whom the medieval parish church was dedicated. The presence of the cross suggests the area was used for religious activities before the medieval period. The slab has had little or no shaping done to it and the stone itself was probably too hard to be carved in relief. The outline of a cross with expanded arms and base has been incised on one face.
