Scope and Content Nairns' Linoleum Works, Den Road/Nairn Street, Kirkcaldy, Fife This works was built for the manufacture of linoleum by Michael Nairn, who had been making floorcloth since 1847. The buildings were designed with sandstone ashlar frontages to mark the prestige of the company. This view shows some of the later buildings on the site. Their exact function is not known. Much of this complex has since been demolished, leaving only the listed buildings, The buildings in this view have all gone. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
