Scope and Content Schoolhill Station, Aberdeen This station was opened by the Great North of Scotland Railway as part of a programme of developing a frequent-interval suburban train service. This building served the northern part of the city centre. This view shows the building on the north-bound platform, with the bridge linking it to the street on the left. The suburban service suffered from the development of road transport in the inter-war years, and was closed, with this station, in 1937. The building has been demolished since 1974.
