Scope and Content Grennan Mill, near Dalry, Kirkcudbrightshire This is a water-powered corn mill, said to have been founded in 1506. but rebuilt in the late 18th century, and with a late 19th or early 20th century all-iron waterwheel, 1.02 by 4.27m, which drove three pairs of stones. This view shows the former kiln of the L-plan mill, with the gable of the milling range beyond. The mill is now in the garden of a private house, whose owner in 1974 was conserving it.
