Scope and Content Salmon fishing station, Portlethen, Kincardineshire This is essentially a cove in the rocky cliffs of this stretch of coast, with a railed slip for drawing boats up the beach, and a bothy/store and net-drying poles on the headland to the east of the beach. This view shows the harbour from the south west, with nets drying to the left of the bothy/store. There are several of these beach fishing stations along this stretch of the Kincardineshire coast Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
