Scope and Content Todhead Lighthouse, Kincardineshire Tod Head lighthouse was designed by DA Stevenson for the Northern Lighthouse Board. It has a short circular-section tower, with a corbelled gallery, and a triangular-paned lantern. The keepers' houses and engine room are flat roofed. This view shows the light tower from the south west. The fog horn is in the distance, to the right. The compressed air for the horn came from the engine room to the left of the tower. As with all the Northern Lighthouse Board's lights, this one has been converted to automatic operation. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
