Date 1974

Collection Papers of Professor John R Hume, economic and industrial historian, Glasgow, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 440434

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Millburn Distillery, Inverness, Inverness-shire This distillery was probably founded in 1825, but may be an older foundation. It appears to have been a mill in the mid 19th century, but was rebuilt in 1876, and again, after a fire, in 1922. This view shows the distillery from the north east. The maltings is on the right, with the productive buildings painted white. The gable with the name on it is part of an L-plan building, the oldest on the site. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
