SC 438144

Description Ham Harbour View from SE showing S and N walls

Date 16/5/1974

Collection Papers of Professor John R Hume, economic and industrial historian, Glasgow, Scotland

Catalogue Number SC 438144

Category On-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Remains of harbour, Ham, Caithness This harbour, now much decayed, seems to have been designed partly for the shipment of flagstones, but probably also for grain shipments. This view shows the more complete survivor of the two piers which formed the harbour. Note the vertically-set masonry, apparently drystone. The other pier is fragmentary.
