Scope and Content Bonar Bridge, Ross and Cromarty This bridge is of the bowstring type, and was designed by Crouch and Hogg, Glasgow. It is the third bridge on the site, the first being a cast iron structure by Thomas Telford and the second a three-span bowed truss bridge, also by Crouch and Hogg. This view shows the bridge from the north west. The very light appearance is noteworthy. This is one of the most elegant 20th century bridges in Scotland. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
