Scope and Content Gleann Mor, Hirta, St Kilda Gleann Mor is a glen on the north side of Hirta, the main island of the St Kilda chain. A pasture since ancient times, it is scattered with the remains of dwellings said to date from the Iron Age, but probably originating from no later than about 1600. This is the view looking east across the glen towards the 359 metre high summit of Mullach Mor. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
