Scope and Content Wyvis Lodge, Loch Glass, Highland Wyvis Lodge was built in 1886 as a hunting lodge for Walter Shoolbred, wealthy owner of a cabinet-making business. A two-storeyed building with a veranda, its rooms include a gun room, a dining room, and a drawing room. To the left of the house, half-hidden by the trees, are the stables. Both are built in concrete but in a half-timbered Tudor style very different from local architectural traditions. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
