Scope and Content Detail of lintel of fireplace, north-east room, ground floor of Tarbat House, near Milton of Kildary, Highland Tarbat House was built in 1787 to plans drawn up by James McLeran and incorporated masonry from an earlier house on the site. Much of the interior has now been lost. This lintel is carved with an outdoor scene. The fireplace itself has since been moved to Cairnbulg Castle near Fraserburgh.
