Scope and Content Bow Butts House, Bruce Terrace, Kinghorn, Fife Bow Butts House was built in the 18th century. The garden contains a dovecot. Kinghorn, Bruce Terrace, Bowbutts House / Residential / / House / DIGITAL IMAGES Kinghorn was a royal burgh by about 1170. It had a weekly market from 1285, but was not represented in parliament until 1470. Much of the burgh was rebuilt in the 19th century when the linen industry brought new prosperity.
