Scope and Content Interior of church showing traces of arch, Pittenweem Parish Church, High Street, Pittenweem, Fife Pittenweem Parish Church existed by the 13th century when it passed to the new Augustinian priory. The tower, built in 1588, was originally the burgh tolbooth. A north block was added in 1882. Traces of a pointed arch are visible on the south window opposite. It probably opened on the south arm of the church's original cross-shaped layout shown on a plan of 1813. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
