Scope and Content South face of Pittenweem Parish Church, High Street, Pittenweem, Fife Pittenweem Parish Church existed by the 13th century when it passed to the new Augustinian priory. The tower, built in 1588, was originally the burgh tolbooth. A north block was added in 1882. This is the south face of the church. Though it originates in the 16th century, its tall, pointed windows may be the result of early 19th-century alterations. The remains of an arch are preserved in the masonry around the second window from the left. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
