Scope and Content Pre-reconstruction survey sketch of 18 East Shore, Pittenweem, Fife 18 East Shore, though traditionally said to be a 17th-century building, was probably built in the 18th century. It was rebuilt in 1972. This survey sketch records the house as it was in 1970 before work began. It highlights significant details like the scrolled skewputs decorating either side of the chimney gable, or gablet, projecting from the centre of the roof. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
