Scope and Content Cursus at Milton of Rattray, Perth and Kinross This cursus is situated to the south of Milton of Rattray. Discovered by aerial survey in 1990, it lies on the flood plain of the River Ericht. Two linear cropmarks, perhaps old field boundaries, cross the cursus. This is an aerial view of the site. The cursus is indicated by the two parallel rows of dot-like cropmarks which run down the centre of the image. The rows are 18m apart and run for 120m roughly east to west. The terminals have not been located. A cursus is a neolithic ritual monument measuring from 100m to several kilometres in length. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
