Scope and Content West range, Greenside Farm, Fife Greenside Farm was begun in the early 19th century and is an example of a home farm - the main farm of an estate. These were common in Fife because the county contained many small estates. From near to far, the east range (left) contains: a possible harness-room with dovecot above; a former house, converted into a bull-pen; and a stable. To the right, on the edge of the picture, is part of the sunken cattle-court. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
