Description Greenside Farm

Collection Scottish Farm Buildings Survey

Catalogue Number SC 384244

Category On-line Digital Images

Copy of B 8080

Scope and Content Outer face of north range, Greenside Farm, Fife Greenside Farm was begun in the early 19th century and is an example of a home farm - the main farm of an estate. These were common in Fife because the county contained many small estates. The open-sided implement-shed (near right) backs onto the stable. At the far end, a foot-bridge leads to the upper floor of the threshing house. To the left is the grain-drying kiln, now containing a water tank with a pantiled lean-to store (facing).
