Scope and Content Decorative ceiling-panel, auditorium, Opera House, Dunfermline, Fife Dunfermline Opera House was built in 1900 by Roy Jackson, a Perth architect and theatre manager. It was recast in 1921 to the designs of J W Swanston. It closed in 1955 and, after serving as a furniture store, was demolished in the 1980s. This decorative panel fills the centre of the auditorium ceiling. It depicts a goddess surrounded by small angels or putti. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
