Scope and Content Music Hall, Pittencrieff House, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline, Fife Pittencrieff House was built in about 1635 for Sir Alexander Clerk of Pittencrief. It was bought in 1902 by Andrew Carnegie who presented it to the nation in 1903. In 1909-11 Robert S Lorimer converted it to a museum and club. The Music Hall was built as an extension to the Cafeteria by F A MacDonald and Partners in 1934. The entrance hall contains a fountain by John Goulden. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
