Scope and Content Pre-restoration view of 443-449 Sailor's Walk, Kirkcaldy, Fife 443-449 Sailor's Walk was built in the 17th century as two houses, each of T-shaped plan. They were extensively repaired in 1954-9 under National Trust ownership. The north house (right) decorated by a ridge or string-course running below the second-floor windows. The upper levels of the crow-stepped gable of the south house (left) project on brackets or consoles. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
