Scope and Content Temporary camp at Cornhill, South Lanarkshire This Roman temporary camp is at Cornhill. It is a large camp, built on sloping ground on the right bank of the River Clyde. There seems to have been two phases of occupation, as a ditch cuts across the camp, shortening it by 70 m. This is a plan of the site showing the outline of the camp. The ditch which reduced the size of the camp was on the SE side. Breaks in the two SW sides reveal the location of the entrances to the camps. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
