Scope and Content A journal providing a narrative account of A O Curle's fieldwork during research for the Royal Commission's inventory of ancient and historical monuments of Berwickshire in 1908, with a single addition from 1909. The journal describes each day of Curle's fieldwork in Berwickshire from 1st August until 7 November 1908 and includes notes on individual sites (often written up from his field notebook MS 36/1) but also commentary on travel, companions, accommodation etc.
