Scope and Content The footbridge across the tidal channel between Canna and Sanday Canna and Sanday are the westernmost of the Small Isles and were gifted to The National Trust for Scotland in 1981 by the late Dr J L Campbell. They lie to the north-west of Rum between the mainland and the Outer Hebrides. Canna and Sanday are linked by a footbridge that spans the narrow tidal channel at the western end of the harbour. A survey of Canna and Sanday was undertaken by the Royal Commission to record all the archaeological sites and monuments and the landscape within which they lie. This landscape is published as RCAHMS Broadsheet 5. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
