Scope and Content Compass Hill and the east end of Canna from Coroghon Castle Coroghon Castle stands on top of a stack at the south-east end of the cliffs that form the east end of Canna. The stack juts out into the sea, and is accessible only by a steep path which ascends a narrow neck of land connecting it to the mainland. View looking north along the cliffs. A survey of Canna and Sanday was undertaken by the Royal Commission to record all the archaeological sites and monuments and the landscape within which they lie.
