Scope and Content Old Bridge at Bridge of Earn, Perthshire The Old Bridge at Bridge of Earn dates from the late 15th or early 16th century. It spans the Earn at its lowest crossing-point, a few miles upstream from the River Tay. It was partly dismantled in 1822 after a new bridge was built upstream. These two arches on the south bank of the river were all that remained of the bridge in 1970. They were demolished in 1976. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
