Scope and Content Diagram of yoke-bar of mechanism inside horse-mill at West Gallaberry. Kirkton, Dumfries and Galloway The horse engine-house at West Gallaberry is one of very few to retain most of its driving-mechanism. However, its threshing machine no longer survives. The chains are clipped to the yoke around the horse's neck. The 'equalising pulley-gear' ensures that the pressure and the 'pull' on the horse is the same on both sides.
