Scope and Content Symbol stone at Abernethy, Perth and Kinross This symbol stone is from Abernethy. It was found in the foundations of a house, and now stands against the base of Abernethy Round Tower. The stone has been slightly trimmed. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. The symbols are on the SE face. The four symbols are a tuning-fork, a crescent and V-rod, a hammer and an anvil. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
