Scope and Content Siege works and fort at Woden Law, Scottish Borders The fort at Woden Law was constructed over three phases. Part of the defences were demolished due to Roman activity in the area such as building the nearby Roman road. The Romans may also be responsible for what appears to be a siegework with platforms. This is a plan of the site. The fort consisted of a double rampart and ditch which were added to an earlier wall. Both were then replaced by another wall. The siegework to the SW of the fort consists of two banks and three ditches some 12-30 m. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
