Scope and Content Tannery at Keith, Grampian The tannery at Keith is a typical example of a provincial tannery, having an airing loft in the upper two floors ventilated by louvres. It dates from the early 19th-century with later alterations. When the tannery was eventually converted to a laundry, the airing loft was used for drying clothes.
