Scope and Content Symbol stone at the Chapel of St Fergus, Dyce, City of Aberdeen This symbol stone from Dyce is of irregular shape and is carved only on one side. The stone, along with a cross-slab, is built into a wall in the east gable of the ruins of Dyce Old Kirk. It is said to have been found in the kirkyard wall. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. There are two symbols incised on it. At the top is a Pictish Beast, and below is a double-disc and Z-rod. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
