Scope and Content Symbol stone known as the Boar Stone from Knocknagael, Inverness, Highland This symbol stone once stood in a field at Knocknagael Farm, just south of Inverness. In 1995 it was moved to Highland Council Headquarters in the city. It is now rather weathered. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. The upper symbol is a mirror-case. Below this is a very fine carving of a powerful-looking boar. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
