Scope and Content Symbol stone known as Newton House 1, Aberdeenshire This symbol stone stands 100 m E of Newton House. It was originally found about a mile away to the S, in a plantation. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. Carved on the S face is a double-disc and a serpent and Z-rod.
