Scope and Content Fort at Dunadd, Argyll and Bute Dunadd is rocky knoll that rises out of the flat valley floor and was one of the main centres of the Kingdom of Dalriada. It has been excavated in 1904, 1929 and between 1980-81. The artefacts are now in the Royal Museum of Scotland. The image is of part of a carved slab in the SW end of the lower enclosure. There is the outline of a boar, similar to the Pictish symbol, a footprint, a hollowed-out basin and several lines of ogam which make use of natural fissures. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
