Scope and Content Symbol stone at Logie Elphinstone, Aberdeenshire This symbol stone was found with two others on the Moor of Carden. All three now stand in the grounds of the ruined Logie House. They originally said to have stood inside or next to a stone circle. This is a view of the stone. The symbols are carved on the E face. A crescent and V-rod lies over a double-disc and Z-rod. These have been carved over an earlier double-disc which is now mostly erased. Above the symbols is a circular ogam inscription. The ogam inscription is read clockwise from the bottom. It reads QUDDALT. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
