Two outer walls protected the NE and SW flanks. The site has not been excavated. This is an aerial view of the site. The circular broch was originally surrounded by two outer walls which provided extra defences on the NE and SW flanks of the ridge. These are now rather eroded. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
