Scope and Content Broch at Caisteal Grugaig, Totaig, Skye and Lochalsh, Highland Caisteal Grugaig is built overlooking the junction of three lochs. It makes use of a small rocky knoll as its base. The broch was cleared out in 1899 and thus many of the structural features are visible. This is a view of the remains of the outer wall of the broch. They were constructed from large stones and the original structure would have been very solid. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
