Scope and Content Turret on tower of Aberdeen Tolbooth, City of Aberdeen Aberdeen Tolbooth was built in the 17th century and modified during the next three centuries along with the surrounding buildings. Only the tower or 'wardhouse' survives from the original building. The north-east angle turret of the tower or 'wardhouse' is part of the north extension of 1704. It was probably built from reused masonry taken from the upper parts of the turrets of the original parapet. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
