Scope and Content Recorded on the mounted print: 'Scottish National Buildings Record. Shire: Fife. Place: Pittenweem. Building: 9, Cove Wynd. Photographer: F.B. Date: July 1963'. 9 Cover Wynd, Pittenweem, Fife Pittenweem became a burgh of barony dependent on its Augustinian Priory in the 15th century, and a royal burgh in 1541. Appearing in records in 1228, its port harboured a thriving fishing fleet, and was home to merchants trading with the Low Countries. Number 9 Cove Wynd was built in the 18th century and has been restored in modern times. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
