Scope and Content Broch, Hut Circles and Souterrain at Kilphedir, Sutherland, Highland The Kilphedir broch is built on a knoll with views up and down the valley. The outer defences are now overgrown by heather. Nearby are the remains of three-hut circles and a 9.5 m long stone-lined souterrain. More hut-circles are close by. This is a view of the remains of the broch's walls. The remains of the intramural galleries can be seen though they are now filled with tumbled stone. Some of the lintel stones can still be seen in situ. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
