Scope and Content Main stairwell of Kirkcaldy Town House, Wemyssfield, Kirkcaldy, Fife Kirkcaldy Town House was built to a Scandinavian-influenced design by David Carr which won the competition for the contract in 1937. However, the project was delayed by World War II so that the building was not completed until 1957. This shows the main stairwell from the top landing. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
