Scope and Content Written on the back of the mounted print: 'Shire: Fife. Place: Anstruther Wester. Building: 3, The Esplanade'. Photographer: 'F.B.' Date: 'July 1963' Number 3 The Esplanade was probably built in 1718, the year carved over its doorway. The top of the door-piece is described as ogee, meaning curving. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
