Scope and Content Fort at Dun Canna, Ross and Cromarty, Highland This fort is at Dun Canna and is built on a promontory projecting into the sea. The current entrance to the remains is not the original one. Much more recent stone houses were built into the walls. This is an aerial view of the fort. It consists of two stone-walled enclosures. The narrow inner enclosure is at the end of the promontory. The larger outer enclosure has a wider wall, though both walls are now collapsed. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
