Scope and Content St Leonard's Chapel, South Street, St Andrews, Fife St Leonard's Chapel was built around 1512 to serve Prior John Hepburn's newly founded St Leonard's College. It reused masonry from an earlier parish church from before 1413. The present structure contains several 16th-century mural monuments. This is the side-entrance of the chapel, approached from Pends Road. The arch dates from the 17th century. The panel above the door is said to have born the arms of the Duke of Lennox and the date 1617. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
