Scope and Content Broch at Dun Baravat, Bernera, Isle of Lewis, Western Isles Dun Baravat is a broch built on a small island in Loch Baravat. It is reached by a causeway from the N shore. Some structural features can still be seen. The broch is best preserved on the northern side where the wall is still preserved to over 3 m in height. The inner wall has the remains of the scarcement ledge for supporting a wooden floor as well as the entrance to a gallery. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
