Scope and Content Amateur album, black leather. Inscribed (first page): 'A.L.H.' (1861-78). Album of snapshots of Dunbeath Castle, Caithness, as well as Thurso and local topography. The album also includes many family photographs, including the 'H' family, Aunt Mackay, the Mylne family and one marked 'Johnston', and many are showing people taking part in fishing, boxing, shooting and amateur theatricals. There is a picture of a hooded hawk and several groups showing cricketers in striped blazers with men in top hats, captioned 'Winners ACC, 1868'.
