Scope and Content This is a close view of the Western Link Road and the Holm Mills Bridge under construction. Both were opened in 2017 and archaeological evaluation ahead of development uncovered some prehistoric remains though there is nothing at present (2020) on the record. The derelict cement works is at the construction site. This was demolished in 2019. Holm Mills is on the right. Holm woollen mill was established around 1771 by James Pringle from Brora. The Mill was bought by Edinburgh Wool Company in 1989 and became the Holm Mills Shopping Village. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
